The security of 1D get guns

Due to heightened security concerns for One Direction’s US and Mexican tour coming up next year, it has been reported that minders and guards of the boys will have to get new gun licenses, just in case.
A source close to the security team said:
“They are the biggest boyband in the world. If their bosses say we need guns, then we have to get guns.”
Bosses are said to be particularly worried about more serious areas in the world, like Mexico City, which will be visited on June 9th.
“They will be travelling to some dangerous areas in the world.”
“There are lots of threats – the worst possibility is a gang will want to kidnap them. But that won’t be allowed to happen.”
1D’s management added:
“The group’s security guards have all had to get social security cards and ID cards for America and Canada. And they may bring in armed guards who they have worked with before in Mexico.”
No chances will be taken on the daunting task of such a huge world tour, and the last time the boys were in Mexico fans caused literal chaos by camping outside the 4 seasons hotel just to catch a glimpse of the boys.
That’s true dedication, but remember there is a line between fan-girling and safety risk.
