Two years ago they were making themselves known on X Factor
UK, eventually finishing third in the competition.
A year later they had released their first album ‘Up All
Nightg’, to a rapturous reception in the UK, Australia and Europe, but were
still relatively small overseas.
Fast forward to March this year, and the album was released
in the USA – a move which made them the biggest and most-loved boyband in the
world.
They were no longer five young lads from the UK, they were
now global superstars!
After appearing on the Today Show yesterday, the band
confirmed they would be starring in their own 3D movie, scheduled for release
next August.
The film will be a ‘behind-the-scenes’ documentary style,
completely in 3D, and directed by ‘Super Size Me’ star Morgan Spurlock, who
said:
“This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in
time for the band.”
Spurlock-dude added:
“To capture this journey and share it with audiences around
the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of.”
Speaking to the screaming audience outside the Today Show,
Niall Horan said:
“We are going to do our first-ever movie and it’s going to
be in 3-D and it’s coming to cinemas near you on the 30th of August, 2013.”
